iNutrimon provide multiple ways to initiate nutrition support

  1. NBM – In critical care unit, patient kept on nil by mouth in various indications such as preoperative phase, postoperative phase, gastrointestinal issues like bowel obstruction or perforation , severe illness such as sever or acute pancreatitis. The length of NBM varies according to the particular clinical state and the advice of the medical staff. The patient’s health stabilizes once the underlying problem or surgical procedure is taken care of, and then they normally progressively switch from NBM to oral or enteral feeding as tolerated.

iNutrimon has the NBM update feature, which helps to initiate further line of nutrition therapy

2. Enteral nutrition – Enteral nutrition is indicated when a patient is unable to tolerate oral intake due to conditions such as mechanical ventilation, impaired consciousness, gastrointestinal dysfunction, or severe injuries that prevent them from eating normally.

iNutrimon provides multiple enteral routes, as below

  • Nasojejunal
  • Nasogastric
  • Jejunostomy tube
  • Orogastric
  • Orojejunal
  • Percutaneous endoscopic gastrostomy

3. Parenetral nutrition- PN is indicated in critically ill patients when they are unable to tolerate or absorb nutrients through the GI tract due to conditions such as severe pancreatitis, bowel obstruction, high-output enterocutaneous fistulas, or post-operative ileus. It is also used when enteral nutrition is contraindicated, not feasible, or insufficient to meet the patient’s nutritional requirements.
